So after missing last week's little black dress challenge - due to heat and lack of motivation - I was determined to take part this week. Unfortunately - unlike Dani, I didn't have the perfect feathered skirt that looked like a little black dress when styled perfectly. I have a few "not for blogging" tshirts that have a feather motive on them but nothing else that jumped out and said "put me on the internet".
My beautiful niece celebrated her first birthday during the week and I was determined to incorporate feathers into my ensemble.
I remembered that a few Christmases ago, I bought some feather ornaments that I had since turned into a pendant for a necklace and this is my feather........
I bought a new dress, that hopefully will double as a kaftan for a girls central coast weekend in February, on sale at Myer the other day. So I teamed the new dress with my feather pendant and a pair of Wittner peep toe flats, rocked a major looking ballerina bun and headed out to celebrate the princess's birthday.
What was expected to be a 45 degree day in Sydney, ended up barely hitting 35, which was a blessing in disguise. It meant that we had a great time and partied hard - until the wee hours. Well most of us did - the birthday girl had to go to bed at 6pm.

Love the colours in your dress and the styling for an expected hot day. Beautiful
